Advanced Dental Technology Bartlett

The Perfect Blend of Precision & Comfort

Our team of specialists stays up to date with the latest and most effective dental technology available. Whenever we believe that an instrument will enhance our patient’s experience by making them more comfortable and improving treatment precision, we never shy away from investing in it. Below, you can read about some of our most advanced dental technology that you’ll get to experience.

Digital Impressions

Impression putty is no longer necessary thanks to advanced digital technology. Instead of having to bite down on a piece of gag-inducing putty, our team can simply wave a wand with a camera at the end of it around your mouth, capturing a photorealistic blueprint of your oral structure. Once the impression is complete, our team can then send it off to our dental laboratory to craft a restoration or orthodontic appliance.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Our cone beam CT scanner is an amazing, advanced piece of technology that allows our team to capture a 3D image of your entire facial anatomy, allowing us to view the location of nerves, jawbone density, and sinuses. The amount of detail it’s able to capture makes it ideal for more complex surgical procedures, including wisdom tooth extraction and dental implant placement, by allowing our specialists to plan every detail of the procedure.

Soft Tissue Laser

Instead of opting for a scalpel and sutures when it comes to removing infected gum tissue or killing harmful oral bacteria, our team opts for a soft tissue laser. This device emits a light beam from the tip of it that’s able to immediately cauterize the area being treated to minimize bleeding, as well as effortlessly and precisely kill harmful oral bacteria and remove soft oral tissue. By using this leading-edge technology, our team can reduce your recovery period as well as minimize post-operative discomfort.

The Wand™

The Wand is a computer-assisted device that administers single-tooth anesthesia to help numb a concentrated area of the mouth, helping minimize collateral numbness as well as improve patients’ comfort during the application of the anesthesia. The local anesthetic delivered takes effect nearly immediately, meaning you won’t have to sit in the treatment chair for 15 extra minutes waiting for your treatment. Plus, it’s needle-free, which makes it ideal for patients who experience anxiety at the sight of a syringe.

Digital Cavity Detection System

Although your dentist may have a sharp and knowledgeable eye for dental issues, it’s not always the most reliable when it comes to spotting the signs of early decay. Our team at Bartlett Dental Specialists makes sure that no stone goes unturned during your examination by utilizing our digital cavity detection system. It scans the teeth with near-infrared light to highlight any signs of changes in the tooth’s density and structure, allowing our specialists to treat cavities as soon as possible and avoid more costly and extensive treatment down the road.

Intraoral Camera

Similar to our digital impression and cavity detection systems, our intraoral camera is a small, wand-shaped device with a camera on the tip of it. The camera is able to capture still images as well as display live video footage on our chairside monitor, allowing us to show you exactly what we’re referencing when describing our diagnoses or going over treatment plans.
