Traditional Braces

An image of traditional braces is what usually comes up when people think about “orthodontics.” Using metal brackets and wires, Dr. Hao can place a carefully calculated amount of pressure onto the teeth to gently and gradually shift them into their ideal positions, eliminating gaps, crowding, and misalignment. When combined with elastics, braces can also address bite problems like overbite, underbite, and crossbite for a more functional smile.

Invisalign® Clear Braces

Invisalign clear aligners are virtually unnoticeable clear trays that are designed to be worn for 22 hours a day and provide similar results as braces. While some patients may have cases more suited for traditional braces, those with mild to moderate bite misalignment, crowding, and gaps, or those who are primarily looking to achieve cosmetic results are typically excellent candidates for Invisalign.

Clear/Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces, which are also very discreet in appearance, are an excellent option for patients who are older or like the idea of straightening their smile, but don’t want it to override their entire appearance. Using translucent brackets and tooth-colored wires, ceramic braces are just as effective as traditional braces and offer a similar confidence-boosting effect as Invisalign clear aligners.
Fastbraces®

Fastbraces allow you to straighten your smile in less time with traditional braces, but utilize a similar bracket-wire setup. Instead of using brackets, wires, and rubber bands, Fastbraces use triangular brackets attached to square ones to shift the tooth’s root in addition to the tooth itself. This is what allows them to speed up the overall process. Fastbraces are ideal for adults looking to straighten their smile quickly, as they’re able to significantly reduce treatment times depending on the orthodontic issues you’re looking to address.
Six Month Smiles

Six Month Smiles utilizes a bracket/wire system that is specially designed to address a patient’s unique orthodontic concerns and shorten their treatment timeline. While not ideal for more moderate to severe orthodontic concerns, Six Month Smiles is excellent for those who would like to achieve cosmetic results caused by problems like crowding and misalignment. The process is simple and typically only takes about six months, but the results can last a lifetime!
Propel®

Propel is used in conjunction with other orthodontic treatments to help speed up the process by encouraging the teeth to move easily. It’s ideal for adults, because past the age of 18, the jawbone is fully developed, and the teeth are harder to move. The Propel handheld device is used by Dr. Hao to create microscopic perforations (tiny holes) in the jawbone that trigger a natural inflammatory response, signaling the body to release cells responsible for breaking down the bone to rebuild new bone. This remodeling triggered by Propel Orthodontics helps accelerate tooth movement by up to 62%, according to a study published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
AcceleDent®

AcceleDent is a hands-free orthodontic device separate from treatment itself that can help speed up the rate at which the teeth move. It has a bite guard at the end that allows you to bite down, braces and all. It gently vibrates and uses SoftPulse® technology, which targets the roots and surrounding bone of the teeth to increase cellular activity and allow them to move more easily, with the ultimate goal of speeding up treatment time.
Retainers & Oral Appliances

Dr. Hao is truly invested in his patients’ outcomes and wants to see their hard work, time, and energy pay out with results that last a lifetime. Because of this, he offers all of his patients who have undergone treatment a free second retainer in case the first one is lost. This $500 value is not only a testament to our investment in your long-term oral and overall health, but also your happiness with your results!
