Why Did You Decide to Become an Orthodontist?
Dr. Hao didn’t decide he wanted to go into orthodontics until he attended the College of Dentistry at University of Illinois at Chicago. It was there that he fell in love with straightening smiles and aligning bites and decided to pursue advanced training to specialize in orthodontics.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Hao completed his dental training at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Following his dental training, he went on to further his education and became a clinical assistant professor and taught orthodontic residents at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Today, Dr. Hao is board-certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinguishment that only about 25% of practicing orthodontists have.
Outside of the Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When Dr. Hao isn’t helping patients at the practice, you can catch him reading and running in the Boston marathon. He’s also an avid learner and believes in continuing his own education and staying up to date with the latest advancements in his field, not just for his patients’ benefit, but also for the orthodontic residents that he teaches.
